About

Design Philosophy

Ryan Singer has over two decades of experience in residential design. His expertise lies in crafting custom, single-family residences with a deep-seated passion for creating timeless, contemporary designs. With a diverse portfolio spanning homes, commercial buildings, and restaurants, Ryan is recognized for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality.

One of Ryan's distinguishing features is his competitive pricing structure, typically ranging from 9% to 10% of the construction cost. This commitment to affordability, combined with his membership in the American Institute of Architects, reflects his dedication to making architecture accessible to a broader audience.

Ryan is a proud graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and has enriched his knowledge through urban planning studies in the Czech Republic. As a creative and innovative architect, he continually seeks fresh approaches to enhance the built environment, driven by his unwavering passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.

"Living spaces nurture you and enhance who you are. The strive for simplicity and tranquility are paramount because removing complexity in life allows for well being and health. Design should get out of the way, to reduce the amount of conflict that already inhabits much of daily life

I was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California, looking at the horizon. It has affected my subconscious and eye for aesthetics. Visual intuition and a sense for sensual materials and patterns are part of my every waking observation. I studied architecture at Calpoly, San Luis Obispo, and also grew fond of graphic design and user interface. Restraining the palatte, simplifying experience, prioritizing vista, and removing the superfluous  all help to create essential architecture; this is the best backdrop for living" (2001).
